Academic Development
The Academic Development Committee is responsible for identifying and planning academic and professional development opportunities for members. Events may include study sessions, tutoring programs, basic software and industry-topic certification courses (Excel, Spotfire, etc.), leadership workshops, mock interviews, resume workshops, and other events as determined by the committee. Included in the responsibilities of this committee is the student mentorship program, where upper class students are paired with lowerclassmen in order to assist them in their needs as a student at Texas A&M University. The "Student Knowledge Sharing Series" also belongs to this committee, where a student with specific expertise in a subject presents to other students on their topic of interest.
