Petroleum Engineering Career Fair: Recruiter Information

Company Showcase: The Company Showcase is an opportunity for companies to present to students for 10-15 minutes on August 26th from 6:00-9:00 pm. Many companies present about their culture, ongoing projects, or early career opportunities. Signups for the showcase are on the registration form.

Booth Set-Up: Each company’s representatives will have one 6’x30” table (unless otherwise arranged via sponsorship) with black linens, two chairs, and a pipe and drape backdrop. Company booths will be labeled accordingly, and their locations will be communicated during the week of the event. Sponsoring companies will have the opportunity to begin selecting their preferred booth locations in August.

Booth Materials: Companies are welcome to bring any promotional materials for their booths that they desire. Examples include stand-alone banners and signage, informational flyers and brochures, knick-knacks, and miscellaneous recruitment materials. We can take shipments in advance to the address below.* So we can keep track of your materials, all packages need to be labeled with a company’s name and a point of contact. Also, please include a (fully paid) return label so that our team may arrange return shipping to your company after the event. We request all materials be received by Monday 24 August so they can be moved to the Brazos Center in time for the event.

* Please DO NOT ship any materials to the Brazos Center; this has resulted in lost materials in the past. TAMU-SPE cannot be responsible for lost items.

Meals/Event Schedule: Company representatives can arrive at the Brazos Center at 7:00 AM on Thursday 27 August to check-in and decorate their booths prior to the event. During check-in, we will have breakfast foods and coffee available. The career fair runs from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This time period includes two open floor recruiting sessions and a mid-day, one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.

1. Once logged in, click on the “On Campus Interviews” and then “Interview Schedules” from the Shortcuts menu on the homepage.
2. View room availability (in green) on the right-hand side.
3. Fill out the required fields.
4. Hit Submit.

Please note that our interview suites do fill during peak recruiting season. If the date you are requesting is shown as full (0 Availability), please email cc_employer@tamu.edu, and we may occasionally be able to accommodate overflow requests.

Additional Information: The Brazos Center driving directions and parking maps, a detailed hour-by-hour event agenda, and more details will be distributed to registered companies by Friday 21 August.

Finally, we need a list of recruiter names and dietary restrictions to tamu.spe.cee@gmail.com as soon as possible. While we understand you may not have the information now, we will need a finalized list no later than Monday 17 August so that we can have name tags printed and food ordered accordingly.
